Altay region is among the regions which have received high marks for its efforts to improve the business climate. The rating results were announced during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Territory Governor Alexander Karlin took part in the session model «National rating of Russian regions: first results». According to Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) Andrei Nikitin, Altai region received high marks in the framework of the National rating of Russian regions, which is a decent result of activity in the region to improve the business climate.
Alexander Karlin said that the Administration's Altai Krai aimed at creating the necessary conditions for investments in the region and to establish a close and mutually beneficial relations with the business community.
Deputy Governor, head of the department of economy and investment Mikhail Schetinin noted that work in this direction will be continue. Format the next meeting of the Expert Council on improving the investment climate in the region include a discussion with representatives of the business issues of testing in the Altai region of the ranking, the state support for individual projects to assess the effectiveness of the work to create favorable conditions for doing business in the region.
The holding of the National rating of Russian regions is carried out in accordance with the request of President Vladimir Putin, within the message to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation December 12, 2013. The most active regions were selected to conduct pilot testing that have already implemented their own system of regional standards to increase the investment attractiveness of Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Republic of Tatarstan, Sakha (Yakutia), Kabardino-Balkaria, Altai Territory, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Krasnodar, Stavropol Territory , Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk region, Leningrad, Kaluga, Kostroma, Vladimir, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Tomsk, Tula, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Rostov region.
