Representatives of Chinese tourist companies visited Altai Krai
A group of 27 people visited Altai Krai in the framework of an information tour on trans-border tourist route “Altai - Golden Mountains”. There were representatives of 13 tourist companies from the cities and provinces of China (Urumqi, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Kunming, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Guangdong, Liaoning), and also journalists and members of the Administration of the Altay Prefecture in Xinjiang. Their trip was organized by tourist company Xinjiang CITIC International Travel Co., Ltd (Urumqi), jointly with partners from Mongolia, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The Regional Administration for the Development of Tourist-Recreational and sanatorium-resort complexes reminded that the representatives of companies from Urumqi visited Altai Krai with business trip in May 2014. At that time the purpose of the trip was an addressing the issue of formation of trans-border route around the Altai Mountains, and also the organization of interaction of Russian and Chinese tour operators to exchange tourists. This year the organizers came to the stage of project implementation.
In Barnaul, representatives of relevant regional departments (for the Development of Tourist-Recreational and sanatorium-resort complexes and the Department of international and inter-regional affairs) and the companies “A-Tour” met with the CEO of International Tourism Company CITIC Hu Syanchung and deputy head of the Department of Tourism of the Altay Prefecture in Xinjiang Juan Syue.
Meeting attendees discussed the main problems and prospects of development of trans-border tourist route “Altai - Golden Mountains”. Experts noticed that the main challenge is a restriction to passage of transit transport between Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China.
At the same time, all participants of tour share their first impressions about the Russian Altai, and note the unique beauty of nature, beautiful landscapes as well as the hospitality of the local people.
