Altai flour goes to Thailand

At the beginning of March 2016 one of the largest exporters of the region - the company “Altai Melnitsy” (“Altai Flour Mills”) dispatched a pilot batch of flour to Thailand. In the history of the “Altai Melnitsy”, and perhaps, in the history of Altai Krai – it is the first delivery of flour to the Kingdom.

This delivery came before a lot of work to agree on the quality of flour, packaging, labeling, and conditions of the contract. At the end of 2015, samples to be like the consumer had sent to Thailand, after which the contract was signed. Flour has been made on the Tabunskiy elevator considering client's wishes in terms of individual quality indicators. Moreover, special marking with “Altai Melnitsy” logo was also agreed with the Thai side.

Flour is intended for the production of noodles, which is a part of the basic food ration in Southeast Asia.

“Both we and the Thai side look forward to arriving of the first batch of Altai flour in Bangkok, and we hope that the result of this work will be long-term cooperation with a major Asian manufacturer,” pointed out the press-service of the company “Altai Melnitsy.”

It shall be reminded that Altai Krai currently shows a positive trend of export activity. In 2015 compared to the same period in 2014 exports of flour increased by 60.8%, vegetable oil by 51.7%, including packaged oil 65.7%, compound feed and feed mixes by a factor of 5.4, pasta by 13.4%. Today, Altai products are exported to 18 countries of neighboring countries and beyond: Mongolia, China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Afghanistan, Canada, Poland and others.
