Cheese-making plants of the region produced more than 16 thousand tons of cheese in the 1st quarter of 2016

Companies of food and processing industry of Altai Krai continue to increase production outputs. The industrial production index amounted to 115.0% in the first quarter of 2016 (compared to the same period in the previous year).


In the first quarter of 2016 the companies of dairy industry have produced 16 700 tons of cheese and cheese products. This is 16.8% greater than in February. However, this growth did not allow companies to reach the level of the first quarter of last year. The index of production of cheese and cheese products amounted to 99.7%.


The industrial production index of dairy products in Altai Krai was 100.4% since the beginning of the year. At the same time, whey powder production increased by 2.7%, dairy products - by 5.9%.


This year, the dairy industry companies continue to improve the efficiency of existing plants. The group of companies “Kiprino” implements major projects on “Troitsky maslosyrodel” (Troitsky butter and cheese manufacturer) and LLC “Tretyakovsky maslosyrzavod” (Tretyakovsky Creamery). There is planned reconstruction in enterprises of association “Stolitsa moloka” (Milk Capital) - Kamensky and Pospelikhinsky butter and cheese plants and other plants.
