Tour operators of Russia and China appreciated the hospitality and the nature of Altai Krai
Altai Tourism Week ended in the region. The final point in business, sports and entertainment events became a large-scale festival “Maralnik Bloom.” It was held at the area of tourism and recreation special economic zone “Biryuzovaya Katun” (Sky- blue Katun). More than 10 thousand people visited the Festival of opening of the summer tourist season in Altai Krai this year. They were representatives of Russian and foreign travel agencies. During Altai Tourism Week, they became familiar with tourism potential of Altai Krai: participated in forums, meetings, exhibitions, tested sightseeing tours.
According to the experts, they were impressed in Altai Krai by people - kind, sympathetic and hospitable. “It is believed that Siberia - a rough region, where only tough people live. There is no such thing!” said the representative of the Moscow tour Corel Travel Larisa Kiseleva. She also pointed out that their company sells tours to Altai Krai for about a year, and we can say that during this time interest in the region has increased significantly. The representative of the company “Multitur” Elena Belova emphasized the importance of creating in Altai combined programs for tourists from the European zone of Russia. “We should show the people that Altai lives that the Krai is diversified and rich. In addition the representative of the largest tour operator in Beijing Konstantin Shao visited “Maralnik Bloom.” He pointed out that in the past three years; the flow of Chinese tourists in Russia has increased almost twice. Thus, this year it is expected about one million foreign visitors. Konstantin Shao said that with the introduction of direct flight Shanghai - Novosibirsk more than 10 thousand Chinese tourists will fly in Russia each week, some of them will go on trips to Altai Krai. “Active holidays are very fashionable in China. Youth loves rafting, horse riding. You have a very interesting nature and very clean air! Chinese tourists like it, especially prices are quite obtainable,” he concluded.
