Altai Krai and Israel are planning to cooperate in medicine, tourism and agro-industrial complex
The Delegation of Altai Krai visited Israel. The Deputy Governor Alexander Lukyanov held an official meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Israel, Alexander Shein.
“Promising areas of cooperation with Israel for our region are agro-industrial complex and medicine. We have conducted negotiations with director of LRGroup Michael Amsel on the implementation of joint projects in these areas in Altai Krai. In June this year, the Israeli partners are going to visit the region and to visit investment sites,” emphasized Alexander Lukyanov.
The Delegation of Altai Krai visited one of the largest universities of Israel - Tel Aviv University. There were negotiations between the Rector of Altai State Agrarian University Nikolay Kolpakov and the Rector of Altai State Medical University Igor Saldan and the Head of the Department of Development and Public Relations, Dr. Chaim Ben Yaakov. Agreements have been reached about the development of inter-university partnerships in training of specialists in the sphere of agriculture and medicine, emphasized the Department of Tourism, Resort Business, Interregional and International Relations.
Altai specialists visited Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov); saw the work of the tomographic center and radiology department. The Head of the Main Department of Altai Krai for Health and Pharmaceutical Activity Irina Dolgova and the Chief Physician of the Altai oncologic dispensary Alexander Lazarev met with the Deputy Director of the Center, Professor Itzhak Shapira. The sides reached an agreement on the organization of training of Altai oncologists at Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv, the professional exchange of specialists and joint teleconsultations.
Also, the Altai delegation met with the director of the Department of Tourism of Tel Aviv City Hall Itzhak Mizrahi. “We have reached an agreement on attraction of the tour operators to participate in tourism activities carried out in Altai Krai and Israel,” said the Deputy Head of the Regional Department for Tourism, Resort Business, Interregional and International Relations Maxim Tatarkin.
