Bet on the development of tourist clusters
New facilities of tourist-recreational cluster “Barnaul - the mining city” were put into operation - a bridge across the Barnaulka and staircase with terraces in Nagorny Park. The first phase of the project “Barnaul - the mining city” also provides for the reconstruction of two bridges with the development of banks and the creation of engineering infrastructure. In total, there are 91 objects of cultural heritage in the territory of tourist cluster. 15 historical objects will be restored. Another direction involves the development of business tourism: the project developers have planned the construction of six hotels, 20 catering facilities, creation of vacation destinations and cultural time.
It will be recalled that the project is implemented within the framework of the Federal Target Program “Development of domestic and inbound tourism in the Russian Federation (2011-2018).” To create the project infrastructure 700 million rubles have been attracted, and five investment projects are currently being implemented. In 2015, there were private investment in cluster in the amount of 900 million rubles, it is planned to attract 1.2 billion rubles this year. 30 agreements with investors were concluded at more than 3 billion rubles, and according to estimates private investment could reach 11 billion rubles.
According to the Governor of Altai Krai Alexander Karlin, the project's success “Barnaul - the mining city” was an argument for the President Vladimir Putin for the extension of the federal program of tourism development. Alexander Karlin talked about how the project “Barnaul - the mining city” is important not only for the region but for the tourism industry of Russia: “The State Council was recently held in Belokurikha. The issue was being decided: the Federal Target Program “Development of domestic and inbound tourism” should be existed or not. Vladimir Putin took an unambiguous positive decision. Relating to Barnaul this means that the second phase of tourist cluster will be.”
