Altai Krai increases export products to far abroad countries
In the foreign economic activity of Altai Krai, there is the trend towards increasing the share of exports and reduce imports. Such data were released by Altai Customs, summarizing foreign economic activity for 9 months of the current year.
According to authorities, the total volume of trade turnover in the region (Altai Krai and the Republic of Altai) in January-September 2016 amounted to 394.4 million dollars. It increased by 1% compared to the same period of 2015. The cost of exports rose by 3% up to 263.7 million dollars, while the imports decreased by 3% - up to 130.7 million dollars.
The ratio of exports and imports in the structure of trade turnover amounted to 67% and 33%. If we compared to the same period of 2015, the export share increased by 2% (according to the results of 9 months of last year, the ratio of exports and imports were 65% and 35%).
Compared to last year the trade turnover with non-CIS countries increased by 9% and amounted to 313.6 million dollars, while the trade turnover with the CIS countries decreased by 22% to 80.7 million dollars. As a result, the share of non-CIS countries in foreign trade turnover for the first 9 months of 2016 reached 80%, while the share of CIS countries accounted for only 20%.
According to the Altai Customs, the total turnover increased by 9% in the first 9 months it exceeded 843.5 thousand tons.
