Altai beekeepers will receive 2 million rubles of state support

Almost two million rubles will be sent to support Altai beekeepers to the end of 2016. The money will go for the purchase of      honey-bee colonies and apiaries development.


Three farms of the Zmeinogorsky, Soloneshensky and Ust-Kalmansky Districts will receive the state support, said Chairman of the Regional Cooperative “Altai - honey Krai” Yuri Boguslavsky.


Background information. At the end of 2015 Altai Krai ranks the first in the honey production in the Siberian Federal District. Last year, the region produced 4.8 thousand tons of marketable honey. According to statistics, nearly half of all bees, which are kept in Siberia (45.3%), fall to the share of Altai Krai. The Krai ranks the 4th in the number of bee colonies in the country.
