Altayskay pravda: Governor Alexander Karlin told why it is necessary to go to Altai Krai

Алтайская правда: Губернатор Александр Карлин рассказал, почему нужно ехать в Алтайский край

Governor Alexander Karlin gave five reasons why the Russians should come to Altai Krai. Firstly, in order to get to know country better. “Secondly, there are not many places in the world with a unique environment. Third, in order to enjoy the beauty of nature. Fourth, our region - a mine of spiritual values (literature, cinema). And fifth, unique, hard-working, very friendly people live here. Communicating with them will enrich anyone who will come to us,” said the Head of the region.

According to him, 2 million tourists have already visited the region this year. At the end of 2016, it is projected to increase tourist flow at the level of about 10%. “The growth rate of tourist traffic is an average of 10-15% and it is optimal. In the Krai, there are 43 sanatoriums, including seven children, and about 700 objects for tourists: hotels, tourist camps, “green” houses, sanatoriums,” says Alexander Karlin.

Many turist objects of Altai Krai are fully filled. For example, the Governor noted that Belokuriha already forgot what the off season is. “For example, I cannot invite you on New Year and Christmas holidays, because even for me it will be difficult to resolve the issue with your accommodation. In peak seasons hotel occupancy is almost 100%,” said the Head of the region. In this regard, the region develops the infrastructure. Thus, for example, a unique project “Belokurikha-2” is implemented. Residents went to a special economic zone (SEZ) “Biryuzovaya Katun”. “We consider tourism in a wide multiplicative aspect. It is the creation of additional jobs, the implementation of our foods, etc. We feed with almost our own foods, don’t import another food,” summed up Alexander Karlin.
