About 50 hotels in the Altai Territory must be classified by 2019

Около 50 гостиниц в Алтайском крае должны пройти классификацию к 2019 году The mandatory classification of hotels, currently carried out voluntarily, is introduced by a new Federal Law, which was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The law is aimed at improving the legal regulation of the provision of hotel services and the classification of objects of the tourist industry. Classification of hotels will be held in stages. Hotels with a number of rooms with more than 50 rooms must pass it before January 1, 2019, more than 15 rooms - until January 1, 2020, and all others - until January 1, 2021.

In the Altai Territory administration for external relations, tourism and resort business, it was told that in the region there are about 50 accommodation facilities with a number fund of more than 50 rooms, which are primarily subject to the Federal Law. In total, more than 400 collective accommodation facilities will be classified in the region. "For the provision of services without a certificate of assignment of a certain category of hotel, as well as for use in advertising, the name of a hotel category not corresponding to the one specified in the certificate, administrative responsibility is established," the ministry said.

Prior to the entry into force of the new law in the Altai Territory, 10 hotels passed the classification procedure voluntarily. Classify organizations that are accredited by the authorized federal executive body. In the region, three organizations have the right to classify the objects of the tourism industry. According to the classification results, the objects are given a certificate of assignment of a certain category, which is valid for three years.
