Made in Russia Delegation of the Altai Region showed the main directions of development the children's products industry in the economic Forum in Krasnoyarsk. Last week, the 28th of February, representatives of the Altai Region took part in the round table «Children's products industry: new sector of economy – new opportunities», which passed within the framework of the 18th economic Forum in Krasnoyarsk. During the discussion, Arkady Dvorkovich, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Andrei Nikitin, CEO of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Viktor Evtukhov, the Deputy Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation, Igor Karachin, director of external and internal communications (ASI), Nikita Belykh, acting governor of the Kirov region, Antonina Tsitsulina, president of the Association of children's products industry, and representatives of the expert and the business society discussed the key issues of state support mechanisms, that can stimulate long-term development of children's products industry. Victor Evtukhov noted, that for this purpose the Government of the Russian Federation have adopted a strategy, the implementation of which should increase the production of children's clothes, toys and nutrition. - Last year, the volume of global market for children's products was 430 billion U.S. dollars, Russian market are exceeded 700 billion rubles and continues to grow stable, – he said. – At the moment, the domestic producers hold only 20% of the Russian market. This state of affairs must change – it is necessary to increase the production of domestic goods for children. Altay region – one of the first regions, which continued the initiative of the government: in Altai Krai Approved a long-term target program «Development of children's products industry in the Altai region» for the period of 2013-2015 years until 2020th year. - Realization of this program will help to decide one of the most significant social problems – providing children's nutrition products industry instead of imported to the population of the Altai region and others Russian regions, – says M.P. Shchetinin, Deputy Governor of the Altai region, the Chief Economy and Investment department of Altai territory. – The perspective direction is to create in the region production of baby nutrition based on cereal, milk and unmilk products. This productions not represented in the Siberian Federal District at the moment. Also, the production of hosiery products, production and improving the quality of children's clothes, including school uniforms, textile and clothing production for the quality goods for children and much more have a great potential for development. One of the main directions of the program are: «Creating an industry consortium for the production of children's goods «Industry childhood» and «Development the direction of the Altai biopharmaceutical cluster for the production of baby nutrition». There are all the necessary resources to realize these projects in the Altai region: rich resource base, production volumes, a network of scientific institutions and organizations, which realize a complex support of innovation processes in industry of goods and services for children. Schetinin Michael said: «The availability of these resources will allow to Altai region to take important place among the producers of safe, available and quality goods for children». Add, that the Governor of Altai region Alexander Karlin paid special attention in the report, which was held in the framework of the 27th session of the Altai Regional Legislative Assembly with the participation of representatives from business and the public to the issue of development children's products industry. - Adoption the program «Development of children's products industry in the Altai region» has become an important theme of the past year, – he said. – It is provided funding of program activities in the volume of 4,2 billion rubles, almost half of which from the regional budget funds. on materials of the Altai Region official site
