French offered to develop wine tourism in Altai
French valued how their grapes are grown in the Altai territory, and suggests thinking about a new tourist line. The idea of development in the Altai region of wine tourism expressed during his visit to the Altai territory by a wine producer Jura Allen Bo, president of the Society of the French department of winegrowers. Earlier Alexandr Karlin, the Governor of the Altai territory, expressed the idea that production of wine and development of vineyards in the Altai region could create a new kind of tourism.
- Nobody said that Altai region tomorrow will compete with winemakers in Spain, Italy, South Africa, France. Another question: vineyards – is a great business move to increase the tourist attractiveness of the region, – said Alexandr Karlin in 2012 during a visit to the edge of the French delegation.
As noted by the Governor, in the Altai territory there are more than 20 recognized varieties of grapes suitable for the production of table wines. In 2013 had to be produced 5000 liters of wine from grape varieties Pinot, Muscat, Chardonnay and others. This crop gave vines imported from France in 2010.
The first wine produced «Altayspirtprom».There are several small producers in the Altai territory. So, in Biysk Technological Institute established the production of wines from grapes, sea buckthorn, currants and other berries.
Last week «Altayspirtprom» declared about the plans to organize vineyards not only in the Altai district, but also in Kosikhinskiy and Zmeinogorskiy districts. Experts believe that the industry, of wine business can spur law that equate wine to agricultural products. Then in the Altai territory wine production can be developed.
