The enterprises of the Altai territory produced food products in total more than 48.4 billion rubles
In 2014, production
of almost all sectors of food
manufacturing and processing of the Altai Territory is steadily growing
at the enterprises. In January-July, commodity producers of the region have
made food products in total more than
48.4 billion rubles. The production index was 105.6% compared to last year.
"This is especially important in view of the prohibition of import to Russia of certain types of foreign food," noted in the management of food manufacturing and processing, pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology of the Altai Territory.
One of the leading sectors of the food industry, which has significant growth in production, is milk processing industry. This year output in full-cream milk production increased by 2.4% (compared to the same period of 2013), milk powder by 19.1%, cheese by 14.2%, butter by 31%.
The companies of the Altai Territory retained the leading position in the production of cereals, their index is 129.7%. The volume of macaroni increased by 5.2% and mixed fodder by 4%, the production of seed oil increased by 1.8 times.
Besides, mineral water production increased by 27.8%, soft drinks by 26.6%, fruit and berry nectars by 1.8 times.
The Altay territory is one of the important regions in Russia, which actively realizes the policy of food security. The region holds the leading positions and it is the guarantor of the country's food security due to the large volume and the high quality of the food products.
