The Festival of Japanese cinema will begin in the administrative center of Altai Krai
From 28 to 31 January the Festival of Japanese cinema will take place in the State Museum of History of Literature, Art and Culture of Altai (2, Street Tolstoy). It is organized with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Russia, Altai Regional Branch of Society “Russia – Japan” and Regional Department of Culture and Archiving. Films will be shown at 12 o'clock.
On 28th January you can watch the anime film “Miyori's Forest” (“Miyori no Mori”, directed by Nizo Yamamoto, 2007, 130 minutes), the feature film “Rail Truck” (“Torocco”, Hirofumi Kawaguchi, 2009, 116 minutes). The opening ceremony of the Festival will start at 17 o'clock. After this the feature film “After the Flowers” (“Hana no Ato”, Kenji Nakanishi, 2009, 107 minutes) will be shown. On 29th January in the program – the anime film “Miyori's Forest”, the feature films “Bushidô Sixteen” (“Bushidou shikkusutîn”, Tomoyuki Furumaya, 2010, 109 minutes) and “After the Flowers.” On 30th January the feature films “Bushidô Sixteen”, “Bread of Happiness” (Yukiko Mishima, 2011, 114 minutes) and the anime film “Miyori's Forest” will be shown. On January 31, there will be “Bread of Happiness”, “Rail Truck” and "“Miyori's Forest.”
All films are subtitled in Russian. Admission to the Festival is free.
